Why do people have the dire need to socialize? Personally, I always wanted to connect, befriend, and discover different personalities and perspectives in other countries.

Indeed...and some don't even try to socialize at all & enjoys solitude than human connection.

I guess it depends on each person, in my case I am looking for a person to share my mood and energy with, it has become somewhat difficult to get people with whom I am compatible xd.
